Crowns and veneers

A crown is a full covering over your natural tooth to help restore the natural shape and give strength to the overall tooth. Sometimes people will call a crown a cap.
A crown can be a tooth coloured material to match your neighbouring teeth, but in some occasions we will use gold.

A veneer is the same material as a crown but it is placed on to a smaller and thinner surface on the front of your tooth. It is placed directly on to the front of your tooth and is matched to the neighbouring teeth. These can be used to fix one or multiple tooth that may not look as nice, due to colouring or shape.
